Range Rover SUVs Recalled Because of Defective Airbags

Austin residents who own a Range Rover SUV may want to know about a recent recall that was issued by the manufacturer. Land Rover has announced the recall of 2013 and 2014 Range Rover models because of malfunctioning airbags. According to reports, the recall affects 3,912 vehicles that were sold within the United States. Car owners who have one of the affected models may wish to contact their local Land Rover dealership for a free repair.

Should one of the affected Range Rovers become involved in an accident, the unsafe vehicle design would increase the risk of injury for the driver and the front seat passenger. The problem is due to a Supplemental Restraint System connector that could become disconnected, causing the front side airbags to malfunction.

Injured? Consult an Attorney Immediately.

Although the automobile design defect in the affected Range Rovers wouldn’t be the cause of a car accident, it could increase the seriousness of injuries during a car accident. If the airbags in a Range Rover failed to deploy, victims may be left with injuries that cause them to be unable to return to work for a significant period of time.

After conducting a thorough investigation, an attorney may be able to assist an injured victim of a car accident in building a personal injury lawsuit against all of the liable parties. In some cases, the vehicle manufacturer is found to be partially responsible for the injuries that occurred. While presenting the case to a judge, the victim may present evidence establishing that a defective auto part either caused or contributed to their injuries.
